Comprehensive Sex Education vs. The Authentic Abstinence Model
Non-Directive Comprehensive Model
Focuses on sexual roles and “rights”
Encourages giving and receiving pleasure
Intends for kids to be sexually literate and comfortable
Describes oral sex, self and mutual stimulation, and outercourse as “low risk” behaviors and alternatives to intercourse
