Volunteer! Share the Abstinence Message!
Teach kids how to say "no" to high-risk behaviors and to say "yes" to a bright, healthy future full of hope. Give us two evenings, and we'll arm you with the materials and the opportunities to make a difference!
To meet the need for volunteer teachers in both public and private school systems, the GPA offers certification training in various locations throughout the state. In 2006, at no cost to Louisiana, the GPA certified teachers in 26 parishes. Certification is available to any individual interested in becoming a GPA volunteer teacher.
Certified participants will receive:
1. Two evenings of intense training at no cost.
2. Workbooks, teacher's aids, and materials at no cost.
3. Opportunities to participate in GPA activities and state-wide events.
4. Opportunities to present the authentic abstinence message to youth.
