Countries across the world are looking to abstinence-only education to quell the rise in STDs and out of wedlock births.
For widespread use during 2005, the GPA curriculum was translated into Polish, Russian, and Spanish. Also in 2005, representatives of the GPA were welcomed as invited guests of
the governments of Trinidad, Tobago, Poland, and Guyana to educate key people in those countries in the GPA program. Over 300 educators and health care providers were successfully trained and certified in those countries. In less than 9 months, 40 GPA Clubs were established and running in the West Indies.
In the year 2006, the GPA will continue to certify teachers and health care providers throughout Louisiana, and will extend an invitation to programs in other states and countries to attend
GPA training seminars and workshops.
